PI cell cycle reagent (PI)
Staining Reagent for ADAMII LS

PI cell cycle reagent is to be used for ADAMII LS to analyze the cell cycle, to enable simple and intuitive analysis of the cell cycle—the series of stages through which a single cell divides into two daughter cells.

It allows fast and efficient cell cycle measurement without complex cell fixation steps, making the assay easy to perform for users of all experience levels. In addition, changes in the cell cycle before and after drug treatment can be clearly visualized and quantitatively analyzed, supporting rapid and effective data interpretation.

The cycle begins with the G1 phase, a period of cellular growth preceding DNA synthesis in the S phase, where the DNA content doubles. This is followed by the G2 phase, during which the cell checks for and repairs any DNA damage before entering mitosis (M phase). Additionally, some cells may enter a temporary or permanent resting state known as the G0 phase, where cell division is paused.

By evaluating the distribution of cells across these phases, cell cycle assays provide valuable insights into how compounds—such as anticancer drugs—affect cellular proliferation, particularly in continuously dividing cells like cancer cells.
